This workshop is for participants who have already completed Tai Chi for Arthritis and Fall Prevention Part I.
In this Part 2 workshop, we will review the Basic 6 and Advanced 6 movements learned in TCA/FP Part 1, along with adding more depth to them. In addition, we will be learning new movements building upon the original TCA form creating an even more exciting set for you to practice.
Part 2 contains more sophisticated moves and subtle changes in direction. TCA/FP Part 2 is ideal for those looking to expand their repertoire and develop their knowledge of tai chi and its principles.
This course will be offered twice a week for 8 weeks for a total of 16 sessions, or once a week for 16 weeks. Participants are encouraged to attend at least 11 of the 16 in order to experience the benefits.

- Adults who want to maintain and improve their balance and strength or who have a concern about falls;
- Adults with mild, moderate and severe joint involvement and back pain;
- Adults with arthritis, rheumatic diseases or related musculoskeletal conditions;
- Adults without arthritis who might be at a higher risk of falling;
- Adults who want to reduce stress, improve awareness, and maintain independence.
What are the components of Tai Chi for Arthritis & Fall Prevention?
Tai Chi for Arthritis and Fall Prevention is led by a TCHI Board certified instructor, with each session including the following:
- Warm-up and cool-down exercises
- One or two movements per lesson, progressively leading to completing the six basic core movements and six advanced extension movements
- Breathing techniques
- Tai Chi principles including those relating to improving physical and mental balance
