Description
Mitzvah Makers: Tzedakah in Action

Join us for a hands-on family volunteering experience exploring the Jewish value of tzedakah —our responsibility to create fairness and justice by giving to those in need - and talk about how small actions can make a big difference. Through interactive learning and conversation, children will think about kindness, fairness, and how to respond when others need support.

Children will decorate their own tzedakah boxes and learn how their giving can help support programs that teach kindness, inclusion, and standing up for others.

Come create, reflect, and do a mitzvah together!

Ideal for children ages 5-10, but all are welcome!

At JFCS' Palo Alto office.

Please separately register each person who will be coming, so we know exact numbers (including children). Thank you! 🤗

✨ You can also make a donation to help cover the cost of supplies — every gift helps us plant more kindness!  Click here to donate.

JFCS' Mitzvah Makers is a volunteer, Jewish service learning program for families. It’s a great way to teach the next generation about giving back and being part of a caring Jewish community.

Online registration for this event closes on April 18, 2026.
