Presenter: Rebecca Steinberger is a volunteer Community Educator for the Alzheimer’s Association. Prior to this position, she worked as an Education Specialist for the California Department of Education. She evaluated and assessed students with autism spectrum disorders and presented to school districts and families throughout northern California. Her personal connection to the disease is what led her to the Alzheimer’s Association. Her sister was diagnosed with Younger Onset Alzheimer’s at age 52. Her mother was diagnosed with the disease in 2018. In addition to volunteering as a community educator, Rebecca participates in the Alzheimer’s Prevention Trials (APT) Webstudy, an online registry designed to identify and track individuals who may be at a higher risk for developing dementia. Rebecca is honored to be volunteering her time with the Alzheimer’s Association.
