Description
San Francisco is one of the most recognized and beloved cities in the US, with over 400 designated landmarks. However, this will not be the traditional story of SF's city, state, and national landmarks.  There are many hidden tales behind some of the landmarks, including fascinating urban legends and intriguing secrets, all waiting to be told.

The City's landmarks aren't always what they seem. Behind some of the grand and elegant exteriors are also some very interesting, surprising, scandalous and quirky stories. These are not your grandmother's landmarks! These are Landmarks Uncensored!

Catherine Accardi will recount a perplexing and provocative San Francisco history illustrated with over 100 vintage images. Join us to gain new insights about the landmarks all around us!

Presenter: Catherine Accardi is a native San Franciscan, born and raised on Telegraph Hill.  Graduating from SFSU with degrees in Photography and Urban Planning, she has a keen interest in researching San Francisco history and in writing about local and California history.  Catherine has been published numerous times, with over 150 published articles and interviews, and four books including, North Beach & Telegraph Hill, San Francisco Through Time, San Francisco Landmarks, and Images of America-Walnut Creek.
