911, What is your Emergency?

When?
Friday, Jun 11 1:00PM - 2:00PM PDT

Where?
Online

Description
Have you wondered when you should really call 911?  This will be an eye opening presentation to explore some of the mystery behind a 911 call and help to put your mind at ease so you feel more confident and better prepared in case of an emergency.

We will talk about ways to be prepared for the unexpected.  What about your medications and advanced directives?  What if your door is locked?  Do I have to go with the ambulance?  Is somebody able to ride with me?

Hillarie has worked as a 911 operator, as an EMT (emergency medical technician) a volunteer firefighter, and now works for AMR managing the dispatch center (you probably see their ambulances regularly). AMR is part of Global Medical Response, the largest medical transportation company in the world.

We are excited to have Hillarie share her experience to help us understand better what to expect if we are ever faced with a medical emergency requiring a 911 call, as well as some things we can do to be better prepared.

There will also be time for Q&A.  Your interaction is welcome and encouraged!
