Description
Meet your neighbors for our casual monthly book exchange with light refreshments. We'll have a simple book-related ice breaker game, interesting people, and a variety of teas, coffee and snacks.
We encourage you to bring a book or two from your own collection that you've read and want to pass on to a new reader.
FEBRUARY ICEBREAKER: Write the name of a book, movie or TV/streaming show you LOVE (or like a lot)!
TIP: If you've been doing some New Year decluttering and find yourself with more than two books you want to find a new home for, you CAN bring additional books if you want to donate them to SF Friends of the Public Library. Please do not bring more than one grocery bag of books to donate.

What to expect:
- The book exchange format is super simple: bring one or two books you want to swap. Put the book(s) on the Book Exchange Table. Look on the Table to find a book you want to read. No worries if you don't have a book to swap ... come anyway to meet some new people.
- Trade books as often and as many times as you want until the event ends. When event ends, any books not claimed are up for grabs.
- As a courtesy, please only bring book/s you enjoyed reading and think others would also (unfortunately that dusty 1962 organic chemistry textbook on your bookshelf might have limited appeal)
- Optional: If you really enjoyed the book you are bringing to swap, include a note in your book to let its future owner know why it's a good pick (we'll have Post Its available).
Location: near Green & Octavia Sts (2 blocks from MUNI 45 bus stop) will be emailed after you register for this event.
This event is co-hosted by NEXT Village and the Golden Gate Valley Branch Library. Friends and neighbors of all ages are welcome to this open to all monthly event.
