Find Furry Friends: Muttville's Seniors For Seniors Program

Whether you are considering adopting a furry companion, or wish you had a place to snuggle with a lovable dog, join NEXT Village (on Zoom) to meet some of their sweet mutts and learn about Muttville's Seniors For Seniors program. Muttville is an innovative dog rescue in San Francisco that finds senior dogs at risk, gives them the care they need, and finds them loving forever homes.  If you can't adopt a dog, Muttville invites you to spend time with their dogs through their Cuddle Club.

While people of any age can adopt a senior dog from Muttville, if you are 62+ years of age, Muttville waives the $250 adoption fee, and provides a welcome kit (dog harness and collar, a leash, dog bowls, a starter supply of food and medication and a doggy bed), and, if needed, home modifications such as a doggy gate and stairs. Muttville dogs have also gotten a wellness check including vaccinations, full body exam, dental exam and other diagnostic tests. Muttville takes care of the logistics and makes it as easy as possible for you to start enjoying time together with your new furry companion.

If you aren't able to adopt a dog, Muttville's Cuddle Club offers seniors a chance to spend a lovely afternoon on a couch in the Muttville community room, snuggling up with some of their adorable mutts (Muttville's Cuddle Club is at 255 Alabama St, SF).
