Description
Join us for our monthly Zoom Improv class made up of games, exercises and techniques to create monologues and scenes.

New members welcome!!! No prior experience is necessary. Have fun with others and draw on your own background and imagination! If you've been wanting to try Improv, this is a great opportunity for you to exercise your creative muscles! Instructor Louise Vogel and her group create a very positive, non-judgmental atmosphere. Give Improvization Theatre a try. You might be surprised at what you can do and how much fun you can have!

Feeling shy, but want to check it out? Let Louise know you just want to watch the group this round to decide if you want to participate in the fun later.

DECEMBER CLASS THEME:   December Holidays and Winter. Wear a Holiday sweater or other Holiday character costume like an elf, Santa, Rudolph or whatever you want!!

BRING:  2-3 props and one costume -- be creative or simply use any item at hand you can use in an Improv scene like a hat, scarf, crown, scarf, flower, umbrella, etc.  Make sure props are something that can be seen on your Zoom camera.

Upcoming Zoom Improv Class Dates (typically 3rd Monday of month):  12/19/22  and tentative 2023 Zoom Improv dates are 1/9, 2/13, 3/20, 4/17, 5/15, 6/19, 7/17. Note: in January & February we'll meet on the 2nd Monday due to holidays on our normal day.

For more Improv fun:  Louise offers a monthly In Person Improv class at the Aquatic Park Senior Center (typically 3rd Wednesday of month). Click here to go to our event calendar for details on her next In Person Improv event class.

We encourage you to attend both the Zoom and Improv classes for twice the fun or to see which is more suitable for you.

Instructor:  Louise Vogel was the Company Manager/Assistant Director and member of the Aquatic Park Players at the SF Aquatic Park Sr. Center for 5 years. Louise graduated with a BA in Speech and Theatre and has had experience in Children's Theatre, Mime, Acting and Improvization. She studied Improvization with Sue Walden and Joya Cory in SF. She has taught Improv Theatre at the Aquatic Park Sr. Center and has monthly Improv Zoom classes through NEXT Village as well as in-person Improv classes at the SF Aquatic Park Sr. Center.
