About the Museo Italo Americano: the Museo was the first museum in the United States devoted exclusively to Italian and Italian-American art and culture. The mission of the Museo Italo Americano is twofold: to research, collect, and display works of Italian and Italian-American artists, and to promote educational programs for the appreciation of Italian art and culture, thereby preserving the heritage of Italian-Americans for future generations.
Current Exhibit: RHAPSODY features three Italian American women artists:
-
SERENA BOCCHINO
Serena’s lively and lyrical abstract painting explores music’s lyricism, melody, and rhythm through soft and loud abstract imagery.
-
KARA MARIA
Kara’s work reflects on Earth’s biodiversity crisis and the place of animals in our increasingly unstable environment.
-
NOLA PARDI PROLL
Nola is an artist who expresses her love of stone and nature’s found objects in her imaginative multi-faceted sculpture.
