Description
In celebration of Women’s History Month, Catherine Hampton and Louise Vogel are presenting their latest original HERstory performance. This series illustrates the lives of historical women who made a difference, in spite of the obstacles and challenges of their times.

This Zoom premiere of their next HERstory show is set during the 1915 San Francisco Pan Pacific International Exposition (PPIE).

Women of Worth chronicles the inspiring lives of six unique women who had strong convictions in achieving their goals and who displayed great power and courage during the early 20th century, a time when women didn’t even have the right to vote.

Catherine and Louise bring to life Julia Morgan (an architect), Lotta Crabtree (an actress), Ina Coolbrith (a poet/librarian), Lillie Coit (a patron of the SF Fire Department), Alma Spreckels (a young social rebel and art lover), and Phoebe Hearst (a SF grand dame of social causes). Each woman was a precious gem, whose legacy provided an inspirational and undeniable luster and link to the success of the 1915 World's Fair and to the positive evolution of the Jewel City of San Francisco and beyond.

Join us for this entertaining and educational trip back into San Francisco’s past, and into the lives of some of the most fascinating women of the time who played instrumental roles in making our San Francisco a world class city.

You are invited to stay after the show for Q&A or share thoughts about the actors or characters they portrayed.
