Description
Want to make positive changes in your life in 2025? Join us for an information session on Zoom to learn about a 10-week class series we'll be starting in February to help adults aged 55+ create a plan to help you master the art of aging well and improve your well being. If you can't make this date or prefer an in person Information Session, see below for other Info Session dates.

Your life is both a masterpiece and a work in progress. Learn real skills that will help you live it to its fullest, with the Aging Mastery Program.

If, like many of us, you have been putting off making a plan for your future or aren't sure where to start, join us for this information session to see if the 10-week Aging Mastery program can be the impetus to motivate you to stop procrastinating and just do it! Learn from experts and be motivated by your peers to put your plan in place.

During this Information Session you will find out about the Aging Mastery Program led by On Lok that will take place from Feb 13 - March 27, 2025. This will be a joint NEXT Village & Aquatic Park Senior Center cohort. Classes will be held in person for 10 weeks on Thursdays from 1-3PM at Aquatic Park Senior Center starting 2/13/25.

In this Information Session on Zoom, Nicole Malik from On Lok will provide an overview of the program so you can learn what the program will cover, ask questions, and decide if you want to join the series starting on February 13th. Attending an information session is required in order to join the 10-week program.

Topics the 10 week series will cover include:
  • Navigating Longer Lives
  • Financial Fitness
  • Healthy Eating & Hydration
  • Healthy Relationships
  • Exercise & You
  • Medication Management
  • Advance Planning
  • Falls Prevention
  • Sleep and the Brain
  • Community Engagement

THE FINE PRINT:
Please note that this information session is NOT a class covering the above topics, but an overview of the Aging Mastery Program so that you can decide if the 10 week program is right for you.

  • Each cohort (i.e., group class series) is limited to 20 people.
  • Attendance at one information session is mandatory to apply to join the program.
  • If you cannot attend this Information Session, Information Session dates are on Zoom Weds, 1/15 at 11:30AM; or in person at Aquatic Park on Weds, 1/22 at 11:30AM or Thurs 1/30  at 1PM. If no Information Session dates work for you, contact Donna so we can try to find another session that fits your schedule so you don't miss out on this series.
  • To get the most from the program and "graduate," participants are expected to commit to attending a minimum of 7 classes with their cohort.
  • For the 10-week Aging Mastery Program, a voluntary contribution of $140 is requested for program fees and a workbook, however if you cannot afford the donation, don't worry. Your presence is more valuable than a donation.

INVITE FOR FRIENDS & FAMILY:  While most people do this program on their own, we've heard that the Aging Mastery 10 week program can be a wonderful activity to do with family or friends. If you enroll in the program together, you can help each other. Guests need to register themselves for this event (if you enroll them using your contact information, they won't be registered). You can send them the link to this registration page, or tell them to select the event from our online calendar to register - nextvillagesf.org/upcoming-events

Many NEXT Villagers have done this program and raved about it, so we hope YOU will join us to to learn from experts, get guides to help you get started, and inspire each other to plan for your future!

The Aging Mastery Program® (AMP), created by the National Council on Aging and presented by On Lok, is a 10-week course to help you master the art of aging well.
