Join NEXT's newest offering—a 2-month tai chi program designed to improve balance, flexibility, and overall well-being. Tai chi developed in the 1900s as a martial arts form and has since been appreciated for improving balance. Traditional tai chi consists of 64 movements, but in our session, we'll learn 16 of those steps. The two-month program builds progressively, so participants who are unable to attend at least six sessions should wait until the next session. The class takes place outdoors, under cover, in North Beach. Location given after registration confirmation

Alex's bio: Alex began teaching martial arts for the San Francisco Recreation and Parks Department in 2016. In the next few years, she dedicated 1000+ hours teaching Tai Chi, working across departments including the library, police department and City Hall. Instructor Alex focuses on breaking down movement patterns and simplifying explanations to make information easy to digest for clients.
