Description

Improvisational theatre consists of games, exercises, and techniques to create spontaneous monologues and scenes. These free classes are open to everyone, no prior experience necessary. Have fun with others and make stuff up based on your background and imagination. Exercise your creative muscles! Doing improv is a very positive, non-judgmental experience and you will laugh and have lots of fun, too. And you'll be surprised at what you can do!

Not sure if you want to participate? You're welcome to enjoy the fun as part of the Improv audience.

Location is in Cow Hollow on Green St near Octavia and 2 blocks from a Union St MUNI stop. Address & meeting up instructions will be emailed after you register.

Zoom Improv, 1-2:30PM:

In Person Improv at Aquatic Park, 1- 2:30PM:
1/15, 2/19, 3/19, 4/16, 5/21, 6/18, 7/16, 8/20, 9/17, 10/15, 11/19, 12/17 (typically 3rd Wednesday of month)
In Person Improv at GGV Library (Cow Hollow) 3-4:30PM:
1/4, 3/1, 5/3, 7/5, 9/6, 11/1 (usually on 1st Saturday every other month. Hosted by the Golden Gate Valley Branch Library)

Instructor Louise Vogel was the Company Manager/Assistant Director and member of the Aquatic Park Players at the SF Aquatic Park Sr. Center for 5 years. Louise graduated with a BA in Speech and Theatre and has had experience in Children's Theatre, Mime, Acting and Improvisation. She studied Improvisation with Sue Walden and Joya Cory in SF. She also offers monthly Improv Zoom classes through NEXT Village and in-person Improv classes at the SF Aquatic Park Sr. Center.
